Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of One Piece Chapter 1079, and spoilers are already starting to leak out. The early hints from Redon suggest that the upcoming chapter will shift the focus away from Egghead Island and onto the conflict at Elbaf.
According to early spoilers, One Piece Chapter 1079 is titled “The Red-Haired Yonko Pirates.” On the cover page, the Germa’s Journey cover story ends and we’re back to fan requests.
One Piece Chapter 1079 begins with a focus on York, where her motivations may be further explored through a conversation with Dr. Vegapunk who is still in prison. York learns that the World Government has betrayed her, so she orders the Seraphim to kill everyone except the main body of Vegapunk.
Near Egghead Island, we see a ship with the Blackbeard Pirates’ flag on it.
The scene shifts to Elbaf, revealing that Dory and Brogy destroy Kid’s ship, Eustass Kid has been defeated by Shanks, who used his sword in the battle. Although Kid seemingly put up a better fight this time around, he ultimately lost.
Redon also reports that Shanks uses a powerful attack similar to one used by Roger. Redon speculates that the attack could be the Kamusari, also known as the Divine Departure in the official English subs of the anime.
The spoilers also specify that Shanks is now in possession of Kid’s Road Poneglyph rubbings, which were obtained from Wano via an exchange with Trafalgar D. Water Law and the Straw Hats.
