One Piece Chapter 1019 was out last week, and it made a big reveal about Yamato. We saw his Hybrid form (“his” because Yamato has decided to be called Oden , anyway).

Yamato has eaten a currently unnamed Zoan-type Devil Fruit that enables transformation into an animal, as well as a hybrid between a human and that animal. But Oda didn’t reveal its name. However, I believe there is a strong resemblance between Yamato’s Hybrid and Amaterasu.

Amaterasu, also known as Ōkami Amaterasu, is a fictional character from Capcom’s video game Ōkami. She is a white wolf based on the Japanese goddess, Amaterasu, in Japanese mythology.

Amaterasu is a white wolf. She has flames in the back, and some weird hairs or whatever in its legs. Also, Amaterasu has some red lines in its eyes.

Moreover, Kaido said :

He went through a lot to find this devil fruit.
He didn’t think to give the devil fruit to Yamato.

Which makes sense. First, Mythical Zoan Fruits are extremely rare, and if we assume that someone has such a fruit under his possession, intending to sell or whatever, then he/they will certainly have a heavy garisson to protect it.

In addition, Yamato always wanted to break free from Kaido, so why bother give him a devil fruit, especially since it was difficult for him to acquire?

Except that, Kaido said that he wouldn’t let Yamato use its powers freely (that is why he had Sea Prism cuffs on Yamato). Which implies that it’s not just a normal devil fruit.

I also believe that this fruit is connected with Sun God Nika. Sun God is obviously connected to Sun. Amaterasu is connected to Sun as well.

What if his tremendous power was because of this devil fruit?
What if his own powers (suppose his haki) were amplified by this devil fruit?
