Kaido, as we all know, is the Strongest Creature in the World, the captain of the Beasts Pirates, and one of the Yonko. Kaido has been defeated 7 times, and captured 18 times. The Marines and his enemies have attempted to execute him 40 times, but they failed. Kaido survived every single attempt because every single execution weapon broke when being used on him.
Most notably, Kaido has jumped from 10,000 meters from the sky onto the ground, creating a massive shockwave strong enough to sink a large ship nearby, and emerged only with a headache; it has even become a hobby for him to attempt suicide, only for it to fail.
Based on these things, Kaido seems to be invincible, it’s very difficult for anyone to damage him. However, there was one who left a scar on Kaido’s body. Recently, this person’s identity has been revealed, he is Oden, was the daimyo of Kuri in Wano Country 20 years ago. I’m pretty sure that One Piece fans are keen to know how strong Oden was. As a descendant of the Kozuki Family, Oden inherited from his ancestors the knowledge and skill to read Poneglyphs and write its ancient language. He also had the ability to hear the “Voice of All Things”.
According to Kin’emon, Oden is an extremely powerful samurai. He is a skilled swordsman, even Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard are fascinated by his skills. Kin’emon also implied that Oden was able to tame the formerly lawless Kuri by his swordsmanship.
Even more notably, with his sword Enma, Oden was able to permanently scar the near-invulnerable Kaido, something no one else has been able to before and after. This makes me believe that Oden is close to Yonko level if not Yonko level.
Not only that, in order to break through Kaido’s nearly invincible body, Oden has to possess advanced armament haki. Also, according to Ashura, Oden possessed conqueror’s haki, so I’m sure he can use all three types of haki. At the time Shanks has not awakened conqueror’s haki yet, it seemed that Oden was one of the strongest fighters of Roger pirates. With all that, Kozuki Oden is worthy of being one of the most powerful characters in One Piece World.

Well, that was 20 years ago. Maybe Kaido was bit weaker than he is now? Also Oden was the Shogun of Wano 20 years ago, not a daimyo. I always thought it was Whitebeard who did it, but that is a massive, impressive scar, no doubt Oden was very strong. Hopefully we’ll get more information in his flashback.
