One Piece: Stampede is coming very close to its premiere date, and recently we got some interesting details on the story and the characters in the movie.

As you all know, Douglas Bullet is the main villain of the movie, he used to be a member of the Roger Pirates. However, before that, he was in the military. His strength was such that it was compared to the might of a nation itself.

That’s not all. Douglas Bullet was known as a young and brave soldier, but a certain incident forced him to retire. We also learned that he joined up with Roger because he was obsessed with Roger. However, after the death of the King of the Pirates, Bullet lost faith in the world and strayed off the right path.

In addition, Douglas Bullet’s devil fruit is also revealed. He is revealed to have the Gasha Gasha no Mi, or Clank-Clank-a Fruit. This Devil Fruit allows him to attract and manipulate all the objects in his surroundings and mould them together to create huge structures.
He can combine any physical object to turn them into elaborate structures, such as vehicles or robotic armors.

What’s Stampede about?

The movie is based on a Pirate festival that is held by the Pirates, for the Pirates. A number of big and small name pirates are going to be present. This year, it is all about finding the treasure of Gol D. Roger himself. The Straw Hat Pirates will be participating in this festival as well.

The animated film puts itself temporally with respect to the events of the manga after the escape of the crew of Luffy from the clutches of Big Mom, and then with the conclusion of the narrative arc of the Whole Cake Island, and as a preview of Wano, which is the present main story of One Piece.

One Piece: Stampede opens in Japanese theaters on August 8, 2019.
